Enrichment & Opportunities
At St Gregory’s, enrichment is an important part of The St Gregory’s Way. We want every child to experience opportunities beyond the classroom that help them discover their talents, develop confidence, serve others and SHINE.

Our Enrichment Entitlement
Our enrichment offer is purposefully planned from Nursery to Year 6 to ensure breadth, progression and coverage of the DfE Enrichment Framework.
Across their journey through St Gregory’s, children experience opportunities within:
Civic Engagement • Arts & Culture • Nature, Outdoors & Adventure • Sport & Physical Activity • Wider Life & Future Skills
These are delivered through the curriculum alongside trips, visitors, clubs, sport, music, performance, Forest School, pupil leadership, worship, Catholic Social Teaching and community service.
Trips, Visits & Experiences
Trips, visits and experiences are purposefully planned to enhance curriculum learning and ensure coverage of our enrichment entitlement.
Our year-group overviews allow us to map experiences across school, identify gaps and ensure that children encounter a broad range of opportunities as they progress through St Gregory’s.
Pupil Leadership & Service
We believe every child can make a positive contribution.
Opportunities develop as children move through school and include School Council, Mini Vinnies, House Captains, SHINE Ambassadors, prayer monitors, class ambassadors, librarians and play leaders.
Leadership at St Gregory’s is about more than wearing a badge. It is about responsibility, service and helping others to SHINE.
Clubs & Wider Opportunities
Children have access to a changing programme of sport, music, creative, performance and wider curriculum activities.
We also provide opportunities to perform, compete, represent our school, participate in community projects and try something new.
Faith & Community
Our Catholic identity is woven throughout our enrichment offer. Children participate in and lead prayer and worship, experience parish life and put Catholic Social Teaching into action through Mini Vinnies, charitable work, environmental action and service within our local community.
Ensuring Everyone Can SHINE
We don’t simply ask what do we offer? We also ask who is taking part?
Leaders monitor participation and listen to pupil voice, with particular attention to children who may experience barriers, including disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND.
This helps us identify gaps, remove barriers and ensure that every child has opportunities to belong, participate, discover their talents and SHINE.
