At the Leaver’s Assembly, Mrs Dunne presented Year 6 with their ‘Faith in Action Award.’ They have worked hard to earn this award over the course of the year, preparing worship for individual classes as we have been unable to worship together. Their efforts have included: Collecting for the Key2Life food Bank during Harvest Festival, the Easter Garden and Stations of the Cross, Remembrance Day prayer stations, Advent worship stations and the Easter worship in the hall.
Year 6 created a beautiful prayer focus around the stations of the cross. Each year visited the prayer stations and hung their own prayers on the tree.
Y6 have been very busy making our garden area into our schools own prayer garden, and it is all decorated for Easter. They enjoyed thinking of ideas for our garden and worked great as a team!
Year 5 spent time thinking about all the people mentioned on our tree stars. We said prayers for all of them and lit our second Advent Candle. We prayed for peace on Earth and for health and happiness to all our families.
We invited our whole school community to write on a star, the names of anyone they’d like to pray for. These stars are hanging on the tree in the middle entrance. Classes will visit the tree for some quiet prayer time.
