Langdale
This morning we went out on the canoes! We worked together to tie two canoes together and then separated into two teams. We had a bit of practise rowing to different bouys and then rowed over to the far side of the lake. We stopped for a quick ice-cream and then made our way back to jump off the jetty.
In the afternoon we split into two teams. While one team went tree climbing, the others went orienteering. We swapped over after an hour. It was really good fun!
Grizedale & Yewdale
Today we went to Cathedral Quarry and explored the tunnels. We turned off our torches and tried to find our way out in the dark. We had a short climb up to the top of the quarry ‘window’ which was challenging but good fun. In the afternoon, we went to Timberthwaite Ghyll where we got to wade in some rapids and some of us chose to go for a quick swim!
We had a roast chicken dinner and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. After our food, we did a little bit of packing, played a game of code breaker and settled down for our final night’s sleep.
