This week we have focused on the book ‘Jack and the beanstalk’, we have read the traditional tale along with two more modern versions. “Trust me, Jack’s beanstalk stinks!” by Eric Braun and “Jack and the baked beanstalk” by Colin Stimpson.
We have added some magic beans to our small word area and the children have been very imaginative when making up stories in there! Following this, all of the children have planted their own broad bean seed in a jar and they will be in charge of looking after it. We are going to observe the seeds over the next few weeks to see if we can grow our own beanstalk
