On the 5th October, we celebrated National Poetry Day. The theme was ‘refuge’ and many of us looked at a poem by Michael Rosen called ‘On the move again,’ and talked about what it must be like to be a refugee. We were able to link the themes to events currently in the news. KS2 came together to learn a performance poem called ‘Machines’ by poet Ian Souter.
